2014-12-10 December 10 – 11, 2014 the IV International Forum “The Arctic: today and the Future” will take place in Saint-Petersburg
The forum is an information platform of the Association for collecting public evaluation, expert opinion on projects and initiatives aimed at implementation of Russian strategic objectives on the territory. Completing the annual program of congress events dedicated to the development of the Arctic region in Russia, "The Arctic: present and future" is the final event that unites all decisions made within a year and consolidating the efforts of government, business and the public for their implementation.
Within the Forum there will be presented the mechanisms of interaction between government and business, created by the Association of polar explorers: public commissions on issues relevant to the development of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation (AZRF) and Polar Commissions consisting of authorities in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
On the Forum exposition the largest companies are to demonstrate their capabilities for the development of the Russian Arctic zone.
The forum will be held with the support and participation of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Ministry of economic development of the Russian Federation and all interested ministries and departments, as well as regional authorities, companies doing business in the Arctic, non-profit and research organizations, educational institutions. The forum is expected to be attended by over 500 delegates from 30 Russian regions and 20 foreign countries.
